Tsukuba Express (TX) Line
- From TX Tsukuba Station
- Take Exit A3. From Tsukuba Center bus stop no. 4, take the bus bound for Hitachinoushiku Station. Get off at Kisyoukenkyusyo bus stop (expected journey time: approx. 10 minutes). The Observatory is about 15 minutes on foot from the stop.
JR line
- From JR Hitachinoushiku Station
- Take the East exit. From JR Hitachinoushiku bus stop no. 1, take the bus bound for Tsukuba Center. Get off at Kisyoukenkyusyo bus stop (expected journey time: approx. 15 minutes). The Observatory is about 15 minutes on foot from the stop.
Road
- From Sakuratsuchiura Interchange on the Joban Expressway
- Drive 3.4 km west along Route 354, then turn onto Route 244 (Nishi Odori) and continue 1.1 km north (expected journey time: approx. 10 minutes).
- From Yatabe Interchange on the Joban Expressway
- Drive 2.1 km north along Route 19. Turn onto Route 354 and continue 3.6 km east, then turn onto Route 244 (Nishi Odori) and continue 1.1 km north (expected journey time: approx. 20 minutes).
- From Tsukubaushiku Interchange on the Ken-O Expressway
- Drive 1.3 km north along Route 6, then turn onto Route 274 and continue 3.0 km north (expected journey time: approx. 10 minutes).
