Suwanosejima

Suwanosejima is a volcano island in Satsunan Islands, Japan, about 230 km SSW of Kagoshima city (about 1,200 km WSW of Tokyo). Its activities are charcterized by strombolian eruption at the summit of the volcano. Since 1956, this volcano has erupted every year.
